God is great, beer is good, people are crazy....

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we try to credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's meme. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") Sometimes we edit the original meme, to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, to select the best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from this new meme or recently asked questions from a previously featured meme.
Let's go!!!

Random XV

From: That Forthright Girl

1. How old is the oldest pair of shoes in your closet?
I have UGGS that are probably 10 years old?  They have lasted me well, and are worth the money.  I will probably replace them this year.
2. Did you buy Girl Scout cookies this year? If so, what variety?
Did you just call me fat?  WTF?  Don't you judge me.  If I got girl scout cookies and ate the whole damn box, what is it to you?  Sheeeshh... the nerve of some people..

3. Do you know how to ballroom dance?
No, but I can do the bump like nobody's business
4. Were you a responsible child/teenager?
Yes, it wasn't until my 20's that shit started to get realz..

5. How many of this year's Oscar-nominated movies did you see?
I actually made a list of ones that I wanted to see.  So far?  Dallas Buyers Club.  It was good.  Jared Leto?  Holy shit he deserved that award.  So did Matthew.

6. If you're going to have a medical procedure done, such as having blood drawn, is it easier for you to watch someone else having the procedure done or have it done yourself?
OK, let's think about this question.  If "YOU'RE" going to have it done?  How is it easier to watch someone else having a procedure that YOU are going to have?  Lets take some ownership here.  Really.  I had blood drawn yesterday.  Fasting labs.  She almost spilled the coffee I brought with me.  I told her if she did, we'd have a throw down.  She laughed and handed me the cup once she got the tube for the fasting labs.   I told her that I loved her.  In a non-sexual way, of course.

7. What is your favorite day of the week and why?
Each one that I wake up.  I get another chance to make it right.  :)

8. What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received??
Well, we all know the worst (stupid Jens) but the nicest?  Lately?  A man got on the elevator with me at work, and told me as he was getting off that it was nice to have ridden the elevator with a pretty lady.  Now mind you, he could have been blind in one eye and couldn't see out of the other - but shit - I'll take it!  LOL

9. Do hospitals make you queasy?
No.  Should they?  I worked in an ER for over 15 years as a secretary/clerk.  I've seen so much *stuff* it's crazy - blood, guts, gunshot wounds, abused kids, you name it.  And the one thing that I almost lost my shit on?  A guy having the packing removed from a broken nose.  For some reason - that stuff makes me just want to hurl.  Snot rockets?  I want to puke even writing it.

10. At which store would you like to max-out your credit card?
Probably Home Depot or Lowes.  LOL Yeah, I'm a home owner.

11. Are you true to the brand names of products/items? Now, this question confuddles me.  I really like Yoplait yogurts, but if Chobani is on sale, I'm on it like a cheap suit.  And what if I'm true to a brand, and then it goes out of business?  Does that mean we've broken up?  Or that we're cancelled - like one of my favorite shows, Revolution? - those BASTARDS!  There are certain things I won't buy generic brands of, but one brand?  I am so not a one brand kind of gal.  Wait.  Maybe that's why I'm still single?  LOL

12. Which is more difficult: looking into someone’s eyes when you are telling someone how you feel, or looking into someone’s eyes when he/she is telling you how he/she feels? You keep saying this word.  I do not think it means what you think it means.

13. What’s one thing you’re deeply proud of — but would never put on your résumé? Graduating college with my Bachelors, and a 3.4 GPA as a single mom, working full time.  Take THAT, Mr. Man.  And then, let's discuss what that $60K in student loans and degree have done for me.  Yeah.  That's right.  Squat.  I work as a secretary.  Not a paralegal.  I make more money as a secretary - believe it or not.

14. What’s the most out-of-character choice you’ve ever made?
What do you know about my character?  Who told you?  What did they say?

15. What’s your personal anthem or theme song?
God is great, Beer is good, people are crazy :)

Who is in the driveway topless??

Memorial Day was introduced to honor the men and women who died while serving the in the United States Armed Forces. We want to make sure that message is not forgotten this weekend.

The Star Spangled Banner

1) Are you a veteran? Are there veterans in your family? (We are grateful and want to hear about it.)
I am not, but there are a bunch in my family!  A few uncles, my brother and lots of other peeps.

2) Memorial Day also kicks off the summer season. What's your favorite picnic food?  Hmmmmmmm how about a plate of pineapple brats, podada salad, some baked beans and a pickle?  Can't forget the pickle..

3) Let's celebrate the Memorial Day holiday with ice cream. What's your favorite flavor?
Really?  I'm on Weight Watchers.  Can we talk about points, please?  LOL  I love toasted almond anything.  Or key lime.  Or banana.  Or.... anything with nuts.  Yum..

4) This marks the weekend when Americans step up their outdoor activity and do things they may not have been able to do during the winter months. For example, when is the last time you rode a bike?
Last week I took mine out for a spin.  But let's talk about Lucy 2.0.  She's in the driveway, topless.  Nos THAT is my favorite outdoor activity!

5) Or went hiking?
I live in Michigan.  Where it's flat.

6) Or rode a horse?
Oh, Jesus... now we're really pushing it.
7) Or toasted a marshmallow?
Last year.  My neighbors roast 'em all the time.  In fact, they borrowed my roasting stick just last night!

8) As you answer these questions, is there an air conditioner or window fan on?
Nope, a cool breeze coming through the window, the smell of fresh cut grass and some little birdies singing.  Life is good.  :)

9) Crazy Sam needs your help: What song or a performer would you like to see featured in a Saturday 9 this summer?
Bruce Springsteen
Blake Shelton
Miranda Lambert
How's that :)

The one where we met International Recording Artists... WAR!

Random Twenty

1. Last time you had butterflies in your stomach? Well, Friday night I ate something that bothered my stomach, and it sort of felt like butterflies before it was expelled.  Does that count?
2. What was your last alcoholic beverage? Last Friday I had some Pina Colada slush, made with a combination of coconut rum and key lime rum.  It was more than delightful.  Want some?  Hit me up.  I sell Tastefully Simple.  Their summer drink mixes?  More than worth the money.  LOL
3. Who can you trust?Me, myself and I.  The four of us have made many pacts together and not a one has been leaked to the paparazzi.
4. Where was your first kiss with your current significant other?
In the hospital.  After he was born.  But not until he was washed off.  Actually, now that I think of it, it was probably in the recovery room.  LOL

5. Favorite Band?
local band?  International recording sensation?  (In that case, it would be War)...  All around best live concert ever?  Everyone that knows me knows I'm a huge Springsteen fan.  I think it was high time the E Street Band got into the RRHOF.  One time when my friend Marianne and I were on Cape Cod, we met international recording artists, War (that is how they were introduced).  They (even at this point) were older than dirt, and wanted these two young hotties (we were very hot back then LOL) to accompany them across the street to their hotel room and smoke some weed.  We agreed to meet them there, and promptly got into our car and drove away.  Our brush with fame back in the day.  LOL
6. What is something you've learned about yourself recently?
That as I've gotten older, I've gained a better understanding of what it's like to be new in a job and have no training.  I always HATED training new people, now I find it enjoyable and never thought I'd be at this point.
7. Do you like anyone? You.  If I pass you this note, will you be my friend - circle yes or no.  What kind of question is that?  LOL
8. Do you know anyone who is engaged?
Craziest thing - I know like 3 people that got engaged in the past few months, but others that are already engaged and heading down the white carpet runway soon?  Too many to count..
9. What's your favorite number?
42.  What's yours?

10. Who was the last person to make you cry?
Ok, so I know I'm a total sap and cry at the drop of a hat, but yesterday I was watching this NFL draft show, and it followed 4-5 young men that were eligible, and showed their point of view from what it meant to them and their families, and it was actually a really cool show.  One of the guys didn't go until the 3rd or 4th round, and it was just heartbreaking to watch him sit there and look at his phone repeatedly.  But it was so cool seeing them get the call, and realizing that their dream was a reality - they cried, I cried, we all cried together.  LOL

11. Did you ever go to camp as a kid? YMCA - day camp.  Never to overnight camp.
12. When was the last time you cried? What is this, the department of redundancy department?  See #10.
13. What is one thing you miss about your past?
The people that are no longer with us, you never think while someone is alive "if this was my last conversation with this person, what would I say".. And I find myself just wishing for 10 minutes with my mother, my aunts and uncles, all of those that have passed.  Life is short.  Life is precious.  Don't fuck with it, and don't keep those around that are negative or toxic.
14. What is one thing you've learned about life? See #13  LOL
15. Are you jealous of anyone? Other than all my friends that got to see Bruce on this tour?  No.  I don't waste time being jealous or wanting something someone else has.  Ain't nobobdy got time for that!
16. Is anyone jealous of you?Oh Jesus, that'd be funny.
17. Has a friend ever used you?
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!  That's a funny funny question.  Go do a search for the FFW.  LOL  Used.  I was.  But looking back, I think I allowed myself to be used, not knowing the extents that she would go to.
18. Has anyone recently told you that they like you more than as a friend?Yeah, but he was just looking for some quick ass - trying to relive some old glory days.  Blech.  Ain't nobody got time for that.
19. Who was the last person you drove with?
Probably my friend Kim.
20. What are you looking forward to?The future.  Who knows what it'll bring!

Who jumped the shark?

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Let's go!!!

From Frankly, My Dear.

A Movie Meme

1. What is your all-time favorite "costume" movie or period piece?
Oh Jesus, I have no idea.  The curtains from Gone With the Wind?  LOL

2. What classic film would you nominate for a remake?
None of them.  There is a reason why they are classics - and should remain so.  Although - I will admit?  I'm kind of geeked for Godzilla.  LOL  I remember Saturday afternoons, hiding under the coffee table, watching Creature Double Feature.  Started at 1:00.  On Channel 56, I think.  :)

3. Name your favorite femme fatale.
Oh wow... not sure how anyone could have a favorite one of those.  lol

4. Name the best movie with the word "heaven" in its title.
Jeez luiz, these are hard questions this week!  All Dogs go to Heaven.  Yeah, that's it..

5. Describe the worst performance by a child actor that you’ve ever seen.
Jumping the shark.  Brady Bunch.

6. Who gets your vote for most tragic movie monster?
Oh that is easy, Frankenschtein...  of course..  or is that Frankenschtien?

7. What is the one Western that you would recommend to anybody?
The Magnificent Seven... One time my old roomie Marianne and I were watching it, and if our phone rang, we would say "Don't you know the Magnificent Seven is on?  This better be good!"..  this of course was back before Facebook or cell phones.  LOL

8. Who is your ideal movie-viewing partner?
My friend Helen and I used to have a blast going to the movies.  I'd like to go see one with her again.  :)

9. Has a film ever made you want to change your life? If so, what was the film?
Not really.  Well.  Maybe the old Scrooge, where they show him in hell.  I realized then I never wanted to be an accountant..

10. Think of one performer that you truly love. Now think of one scene/movie/performance of theirs that is too uncomfortable for you to watch.
There is nothing about Bruce that would make it uncomfortable to watch.  Well, unless it was a sex scene.  Ain't nobody got time for that!

11. On the flip side, think of one really good scene/performance/movie from a performer that you truly loathe.
Anything by Peter Wolf.  Can't stand him.  Love the music of J. Geils - but him?  Blech...

12. What movie has the best soundtrack?
Hands down, Sleepless in Seattle.  Love it.

13. Favorite actor with a mustache? (i.e: Charlie Chaplin, William Powell)
Ron Jeremy.  LMAO... I don't know

14. Shadowy film noir from the 1940's or splashy colorful musicals from the 1950's?
Singin' in the Rain!  They're both good genres...

15. Favorite classic Disney?
Anything involving Goofy or Tigger.  They're my favorites.  :)

My mama don't dance!

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Unfamiliar with this week's song? Hear it here.

1) This song is about how the older generation often doesn't understand what the younger generation is up to. Do you keep up with trends?
I'll admit it - I don't know how to do the Dougie.

2) This song was in the top 10 in 1972, which is also the year HBO was introduced. Do you have any premium cable channels?
No, but for the price I pay - I should!

3) Mother Winters taught Sam how to kill the lingering food smells in her microwave (take a bowl of water, add a few drops of vanilla extract, and heat it in the microwave). Do you have any useful household hints to pass along?
Oh, that's an awesome idea!  Not really, but I have to clean this weekend, celebrating Mother's Day here with some sisters from another mother.  :)

4) The French word for "mother" is "mère." What other French words do you know?
I am sure I could come up with a few swears.  And what's that line from the Beatle's song?  LOL

5) Flowers and plants are popular on Mother's Day. How is your yard or garden? Is it green and/or blooming?
Both!  And after I mow, it will all be green.  Including the weeds.  And the dandelions, which there is a lovely swath of...

6) Mother's Day is a big holiday for card shops. So are birthdays, weddings, and St. Patrick's Day. Hallmark sells greetings for everything from "Congratulations on Your New Job" to "Happy Retirement." Who received the most recent card you bought?
I bought 2 cards for work for one of the bosses that are retiring.  I don't know him.  They were looking for money toward his gift.  Nobody else in my offices knew him either.  They didn't get squat.  LOL

7) Have you put away your winter clothes yet?
I judge when it's time to put them away by whether or not it's time to put the top down on the Jeep.  It's time.  :)

8) Mother Winters used to scold Sam for leaving her dirty dishes in the sink. Sam admits it: as a grown up, she's still a bit of a slob. Do lean toward "neat" or "messy?"
I am much neater than the 17 year old in my house, who thinks that there is a maid.  And when I clean up after him he will say "see, Mom - THAT is why I think there's a maid".  The little shit.  I may mess HIM up later.  LOL

9) To celebrate Mother's Day, Sam is giving away candy bars. Would you prefer classic milk chocolate, dark chocolate or milk chocolate with almonds?
No chocolate for me this year.  I'm doing Weight Watchers.  Too many points.  But if I HAD to choose?  White chocolate with almonds, please.  mmmmmmm

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there!  I got myself a wonderful Mother's Day present - a new(ER) Jeep.  Lucy 2.0 is being picked up this afternoon, Lucy 1.0 is being traded in.  I found a 2007 Wrangler with only 2,500 miles on it.  No, that's not a typo.  It's so new, it still has stuff in the plastic wrap.  Apparently someone bought it, drove it a couple thousand miles (really - not even broken in) and then died.  The dealership picked it up at an auction - they got it from an estate sale.  Even if I drive the crap out of this - it'll still be low miles when/if I went to sell it.  Craziness.

The one where LOST gets a mulligan..

Click ---> here to play along!

From TV Tuesday a now-defunct blog. The link is broken.

TV Meme, parts one and two (OK I missed part I last week, so I will do the whole damn thing LOL)
1. TV Theme songs. Which is your favorite, and which makes you crazy enough to hit mute on the remote?
I like the one to Big Bang Theory, and I don't know - if I don't like something, I just fast forward through it - I <3 dvr="" font="" my="">

2. The Classics. What is your favorite Classic TV show?
oh my goodness - I named my Jeep after her!  I Love Lucy!  LOVE LOVE LOVE that show.  :)

3. What character from a Classic TV show would you like to be?
Lucy.  Because you know - oh Luceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ju got some 'splainin to do!!!  LOL

4. Can you remember a line you liked from a Classic TV show?
See #3

5. Heroes. What show featuring those who protect your country (fiction or non-fiction) is your favorite?
M*A*S*H*  Seriously.  Loved that show.

6. TV Cops. Who is your favorite (past or present) TV cop? Which TV cop do you think was the most crooked, or the most inept?
NYPD Blue was one of my favorite shows.  Andy Sipowicz.  He was the balls.  And really - I don't need a TV cop to show me how to be an asshole.  I have real life for that.  And oh, I'd like to apologize to the citizens of Massachusetts this week.  I'm sure he wasn't pleasant to deal with.  BUT - I'm determined to help at least one person with a "get out of jail free" card - or at least a ticket.  LOL  If you get pulled over by anyone named Fay - just ask him how his youngest son is.  He'll run away so fast..  LOL

7. You need to hire a bodyguard for yourself. Which TV cop do you choose?
Um, DUH....  Sam Hannah.  Silly.

8. TV Doctors. Which TV doctor would you choose to remove your appendix? Which TV doctor would you not let touch you with a 10- foot pole?
I would love to say McDreamy, but his specialty is Neurosurgery, so I'd go with his wife.  She'd do a bang up job.  And hmm.... I don't know
9. TV Moms. Which TV mom would you have liked to have had for your own? Is there a TV mom you would never want as your own?
OMG - I would so have been a great kid on One Day at a Time, Eight is Enough or even the Partridge Family.  And never want?  Carol Brady.  There was something weird going on in that house.  Did she work?  Or was Alice just in charge all the time?

10. TV Dads. Which TV Dad would you have most liked to have for your own dad? On the flipside, who was the TV Dad you’d have least liked to have had?

11. Comedies. How do you feel about sitcoms? Good, wholesome fun or saccharine inanity?  Love em?  I'd rather watch a good sitcom over reality TV any day.  I was just thinking about this the other day, there are a LOT more sitcoms on than there were just a few years ago - it's nice to see they're making a comeback.  And I highly recommend "About a Boy" and it's follow up "Growing up Fisher".  LOL
12. If your life was a sitcom, what would the title be?
"You did WHAT?"

13. If you went to a comedy club on amateur night, and they gave you some jokes and a microphone, would you go onstage?
Sure, why not?

14. Reality. Are you a fan of Reality TV? What’s your “can’t miss” reality TV show (or shows), or what reality TV show do you suppose the devil plays on the TV in Hell as punishment?
I like the Voice, and I love the judging trio on American Idol.  I would bet it would play something like Jon and Kate make 8 or whatever show that was.  LOL

15. If you were given a free ticket to be on any reality show, which one would you choose?
Survivor.  Worst case scenario?  I'm flown halfway around the world for a couple of days.  I love to travel.

16. Talk Shows. Do you watch daytime talk TV? If so, do you prefer the calm shows like Oprah or the wilder side like Jerry Springer?
I've been to the Oprah show twice, and wouldn't find myself caught dead in a Springer audience.  LOL  Ooooh, just answering the next question - I'd love to see the Carol Burnett show come back with someone like Melissa McCarthy.  That would be a freaking hoot!

17. Which daytime talk TV show would you like to be on? What would the topic be?
My favorite Oprah show that I went to was the one with Jim Carrey, Steve Carrell and Carol Burnett.   That was cool!

18. Before talk TV took over game shows ruled the airways during the day, which do you prefer? Or are you a soap opera fan?
I used to love Days of Our Lives, but have gotten so far away from it that I probably wouldn't recognize anyone.  The soap operas of days gone by are no more.  Now they have to be all politically correct and make statements about present-day shit.  No more having the biggest problem be who is pregnant and by who.  LOL

19. Is there a game show (past or present) you think you would do really well on, as a contestant?
Wheel of Fortune or The Price is Right.

20. Who is your favorite game show host? Who is your least favorite?
No clue.  Look - I work full time for a living, I don't have time for game shows.  LOL  I really like the Nightly News with Brian Williams.  He's hawt.  See?

21. Marathons. Have you watched any TV marathons? In part? In whole? Is there a show you’d like to see run an all day marathon? On the flipside is there a show you’d avoid in marathon?  Seriously.  I work full time.  I don't have time for all day Marathons.  Although, catching up to the Walking Dead was pretty much a marathon.  LOL 22. Out of curiosity, what’s the longest you’ve ever watched TV in one stretch?
8 Hours - but with a nap?

23. On the whole do you feel most Special Reports are really that special? Or are they simply annoying? What special report has effected you most? (IE: (9/11, Reagan being shot…etc)
Oh wow - 9/11.  Absolutely.  And Nixon resigning.  I remember my father making us sit and watch it because it was so historical - and us as kids not realizing it at the time.

24. What is the (pick one: stupidest, saddest, silliest, most disgusting..) thing you’ve ever seen on TV?
The Dating Game.  LOL

25. What’s your fondest memory of something on TV?
really?  who has *fond* memories of TV?  I'll just go with any of the Hallmark movies.  I cried at "Lassie Comes Home".  You figure it out.

26. What’s the first show you remember watching regularly?
Sesame Street

27. What shows would make up a perfect night of TV viewing for you?
The Walking Dead, Blacklist, and for a little levity - House Hunters International.  Or Living Alaska.

28. You get to create one show to put on the schedule, with any stars you choose. Who and what would it be?
Melissa and Kathy show.  Me.  Melissa McCarthy.  "nuff said.

29. Canceling or Not. What show(s) would you cancel without a moment’s hesitation? Is there a show (previously canceled or just no longer airing) that you’d bring back, original cast and all?
I'd cancel any of the Real Housewives shows, those are just ridiculous.  I'd bring back LOST.  Get rid of that stupid ending.  Explore the DHARMA Initiative more.  I know there were more stations on that Island.

30. What’s the best series finale you remember?
I loved M*A*S*H*.  I loved the finale, hated that it was ending.

Glory Days, while a great song - is an overrated concept. When they're over, they're over. LOL

Saturday 9: Blues in the Night (1952)
Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.

1) Was last night a good night for you? Or were you singing the blues?
No, actually, I was painting a lot of different colors... see?

2) In this song, Rosemary Clooney sings about hearing "big talk" she didn't quite believe. What's the last fib, tall tale or out and out lie you heard?Hmmmm....  Could be any number of things. LOL  It probably was the justification for eating dip at last night's painting event, where we discussed Weight Watchers points for the dip and yummy delightful treats we were eating.  LOL

3) Rosemary Clooney has a well-known nephew -- George, the Oscar winner and frequent People magazine cover story. Do you have any nieces or nephews?

I have 4 nephews and one niece.  I haven't seen my nephews in quite a while, but see my niece pretty regularly.  She's awesome.  The boys are awesome too, in their own ways, but my family is, shall we say, dysfunctional at best?  Read the blog.  You'll get it.  LOL

4) Ms. Clooney married the same man twice. They married, had five children and divorced. Then three years later, they tried again ... and divorced again. Have you ever been tempted to give it another try with one of your former loves?HELLLLLLLLLL NAW....  Which reminds me, a guy that I went out with years and years and years ago got back in touch, wanting to talk about the one night we had - blah blah blah... he was looking to relive glory days or something - because when I told him that I like to know someone a bit better than I did in my 20's and asked him what he'd been up to the past 20 or so years?  He dropped off the face of the earth.  Or my phone.  Whichever.  Nice to know I had that impact, but my memory wasn't quite the same as his. LOL

5) Singers as diverse as Linda Ronstadt, Bette Midler and Amy Winehouse have said they admired and were influenced by Rosemary Clooney. If you could meet any artist (singer, writer, actor, director, painter, musician ...), who would it be?
While I would love love love to spend time with this man, it would be so much hero worship it wouldn't be funny.  LOL  I would really REALLY love to go out and have a few beers with Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert.  Now that would be a story in the making.  LOL

6) 1952, the year this record was a hit, is also the year the "Big Bang Theory" was introduced by physicists Ralph Alpher and George Gamow. That is too lofty a topic for this humble meme, so instead we'll just ask: Do you watch the TV show of the same name? When I can.  FUNNY show!

7) Sam Winters just broke her right thumbnail. While she won't go so far as saying it has her singing the blues, she must admit it bugs her. What little annoyances are you dealing with today? It's only 9AM, let's not push it.  It's actually a good day so far!  The Boy is out having his first job interview (fingers crossed) and I'm going to get my hair done did.  It's a good good day..

8) The house next door to Sam's has a FOR SALE on the lawn. Are you contemplating a move?
I'm ALWAYS contemplating a move.  But while my heart will always be in Boston, my kid is in Michigan and that is where we stay.  He'll be a senior next year, and after he graduates we shall see where we end up.

9) What's your search engine of choice: Google, Bing, Yahoo or Ask?
Google.  Always google.

Hope everyone had a good week.  Mine has been interesting, to say the least.  I ended up with a bout of diverticulitis - which is the most God-awful pain ever.  Not fun.  Those little intestinal pockets apparently suck up seeds and then just wreak havoc on my system.  But hey - on the up side, I've lost almost 10 lbs.
I made a decision this week to let the last of the "kids" know about their brother.  She's 18 and was very angry - and justifiably so.  It's just so unbelievable to me that people would continue to lie to their kids and play a charade for so long.  While I in some respects, got what I wanted - which was that all his siblings know about him and can now make up their minds as to whether or not know him on their own, I didn't mean to upset her life, which I obviously did.  What's done is done, though - I can't take it back.  And hopefully her anger will be directed at who deserves it - rather than at the boy.   I will never EVER understand why people feel the need to lie and cover things up - why not just be honest and up front about shit?  It's so much easier, and in the long run - doesn't create so much bullshit.

Off my box.
Have a good weekend!
