My best friend was diagnosed with cervical cancer today.
It's early. That's a good thing.
She's only 38. That's a good thing.
She's healthy otherwise (well, mostly). That's a good thing.
But really? Her? Cancer?
Holy shit.
I'm sure it hasn't sunk in to her yet, I don't know how to wrap my head around it. I can't imagine how telling her 14 year old daughter was for her.
I'm so scared for her.

Oh ick. I hate shit like this. Like you said, she's young, healthy and they caught it early.
Which reminds me...I'm due for my pap.
It's amazing what they can do when you catch it early. I will keep your friend in thought and prayer.
xxoo
oh man...... im sory darlin..... support support support.....
Oh I am so sorry to hear this Kathy. Prayers to your friend and am so glad they caught it early.
I have a blogger in my blogroll, "I Kicked Cancer's Ass." She is a cervical cancer survivor who was diagnosed in her early 20's. Very inspriational blog.
Thanks thanks thanks everyone. It really sucks, but I know she'll be in good hands and I just need to be there to support her. I know she'd be mortified if she knew that I even blogged about this (thank goodness she has no interest in bloggy stuff, huh?).. E - I haven't told her you know yet. Family dinner tomorrow night..
Pseudo - I'll check her out, thanks!
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend Kathy; prayers are being sent her way.
Thanks :)
She went for a CT today, so fingers crossed that it's only in that one spot, and really really small. Not sure when the results will be in, hopefully soon.
