Random Thoughts Sunday...

So I missed last week, it's been a little crazy - but it's time for a "random thoughts" post..

I was at my cousin's wedding last weekend.  It was one of the most fun and well put together events I've ever been to.  I came home on Sunday, exhausted, but it was a good exhausted - because it was just that good.  I made new friends, got to see aunts, uncles and cousins that I love spending time with, shit - even the boy had a good time.  It takes a lot to get him to admit he's had fun - especially when he's away from his video games for 3 days. LOL

Here is a picture of the the groom, my cousin - he's sitting.  Isn't he handsome?
And here is a picture of his beloved - on the left:

Oh, I'm sorry.  Did I mention that my cousin is gay?  My cousin Tracey will probably kill me for posting this picture - because that's her on the right, but oh well.

Part of the fact that the wedding was so good - besides that it was a celebration of their awesome love (they've been together for 12 years) and of the fact that they helped FIGHT for the right to be able to do this.  It was being a witness to the fruits of their labor.

So what is a better example of love?  Britney getting married and divorced 50 hours later, or a couple that has been together longer than any of the Kardashian girls, Britney Spears and many other celebrities combined?

I'm so proud of them and their friends - and to have been there to share in their joy.  I hope that the next generation doesn't have such a hard time to be able to do that.  Shit - I hope the rest of THIS generation has it easier.  Who is anyone to judge what is OK for someone else?    Not me, that's for sure.  I'm no shining example on how to make love last - unless you count my kid.  LOL

Mazel Tov, Chris and Chris - well done!

Other random thoughts?
Sometimes there are people that just make me want to say "SHAME ON YOU"..  I won't go into any detail, and it has nothing to do with the above, but really.  Shame on you.

Someone keeps calling my house from "number withheld".  Why withhold your number?  Come on.  Show your face.  It's not a blocked number - it's a number that someone purposely did *67 or whatever it is.  Guess what - I'm not answering.  LOL

Online dating.  Not all it's cracked up to be.  Why do people make themselves out to be saints all the time?  And really - the "I want someone that is just kind, and wonderful and that makes the angels sing on a daily basis" shit?  Guess what?  I don't make angels sing.  I make them throw shit at me - like lightning bolts on occasion.  How can you convey that to someone?   I'm a nice person - most of the time.  LOL

Happy Memorial Day weekend - Enjoy  :)

Did you really have to bring the f'ing Chihuahua into it?

We humbly remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's post. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme's best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme.
Let's go!!!

This week's questions come from Helena at Skyblue
and her now-defunct Sunday Brunch meme. It's been a few years since the Brunch folded but the archives are still open.

1}Which do you prefer in the am: Coffee or tea?
Oh, really?  That's not even a question.  I love my coffee.  Don't try and take it away.  Ever.  Or else I will be like a dog and first show you my teeth to assert my dominance, and then I will fuck.  You.  Up.  Back off.

2} Work has been cancelled on the spur of the moment: Clean house and do errands, Or just fun things?
Depends - is it summer?  Then I'm off to the beach in the Jeep! :)

3} Middle of the hot summer, vacation at: Mountains or Beach?
OCEAN.  Beach Beach Beach, beaches.

4}You have to travel at a leisure speed: Train, plane or car?
My dream vacation is a rock star bus, a bunch of friends, a map and no time limits.

5} To relax: A movie or a book?
A book.  In my hammock.  Because then?  Life is oh, so goooooood

6} What kind of pets? Dog, cat, bird or fish.
I've tried dogs.  Is this some kind of trick question?  Because really, that's not funny.  First there was the one that was half dalmation-half lab.  All the wonderful qualities of a lab, but as soon as you left him alone?  All bets were off.  This dog ate through every crate we put him in, busted out windows, screens, you name it.  But oh we loved him so... Meet Dewey:

THEN - because Dewey was actually my ex's dog (or really if we're getting technical - it was HIS ex's dog) but I couldn't afford to keep replacing screens.  I wasn't rich.  He was.  Anyway.  Dewey was no longer ours.  Devastating to the boy.  Then we had the fucking chihuahua.
Yes, I said fucking chihuahua.  He was given to me as a rescue - I was assured that he was house trained, he was not.  He ran away.  The first night.  Because he was given to us with no leash, collar, food, bowl - NOTHING.  Fucking chihuahua.  He comes back a week later - half starved to death - mind you, this was the middle of winter.  We really thought he'd be dead.  But he wasn't.  So we brought him back to health.  I payed to have him spayed, shots, the whole nine yards.  That little fucker refused to pee outside.  I would bring him out.  He would look at me.  Then I would bring him back in - and he would climb up onto my micro suede couch - look directly at me - and then pee.  And this was consistent.  EVERY.   FUCKING.  TIME.   Hence the fucking chihuahua.  I gave him away on Craigslist.  (I don't want to hear it - I don't care how much of an animal lover you are, I hope he turned into research, that fucker)..
There are more dog stories - there was the one that bit Josh constantly, or the boxer that ate half my house.  And then there was the cat that got pregnant (that filthy whore) - we loved her.  And her kittens.  Oh were they fun..
Get the picture?  No dogs here.  We now have Ninja.  She's chill..
She was a stray that found us - she was spayed, declawed, and nobody claimed her.  We love her.
Maybe someday we'll get another dog.  But until then?  Hells to the N.O.  And thanks for reminding me of that fucking chihuahua.  Glad you asked?

7} Dream home: Hard wood floors or carpeting?
Hard wood all the way.  Oh, wait - are we talking about floors?  Hardwood.  LOL

8} a fun activity: cards, bingo or blogging?
Today, I'm rather enjoying the blogging LOL - well, except for the fucking chihuahua thing..

9} First date: Dinner, movie or a hike?
Hmmmmm....  How about a hike and pizza afterwards?
Oh, and beer.  Must have beer after a hike.

10}The first Kiss: peck on the cheek, or a long romantic one?
Really?  Come on.  Do you know when my last date was?  (Actually - it wasn't that long ago, but since there were so many red flags, it really doesn't count, I just refer to it as the flag carrying ceremony where beer was involved).....  One that starts off as a peck, and moves in for the kill.

Yeah, I am that good :)

Today we ripped off as a blogger named Danielle,  from her blog Sometimes SweetShe doesn't say where she got it--but it was probably stolen from somewhere cool.  Tracing back the thefts of those that we steal from could take a while. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

Thinking about:
Mothers.. mother's day, my mother, my grandmother, my aunt Harriet, how I became a mother (no, not the act, silly), you know... STUFF..
Feeling:
Missing people no longer with us, enjoying the silence of the morning - except the cat's desperate meoooooooows - not sure what she wants, she needs nothing.  lol
Reading:
This... silly.  Want me to read you something else?  A story?
Listening to:
did you NOT just read my answer to #2?  Sheesh... the sound of my fingers, flying across the keyboard at 60+ WPM.  Yeah.  I am that good..
Wondering:
Wouldn't that be almost the same as "thinking about"?  Wondering when my little cherub will wake up and really how late he was up last night playing video games.  I think I fell asleep about 12:30, and he was still in the "middle of a campaign, MOM I can't just leave my friends to die"...
Looking forward to:
Dinner tonight.  Apparently my son is taking me out to dinner.  And it does NOT involve a drive through - go figure!
Missing:
A lot of people.  The annual Mother's Day brunch that we used to do with my family - only mothers were allowed - NO KIDS - and certainly no men folk...  Here is a picture of my first, I was about 4 mos. pregnant :)
I'm in the stripes.  Not sure what the heck I was doing wearing horizontal stripes - didn't anyone ever tell me that they make you look bigger?  Sheesh.. Oh - and right next to me?  Aunt Harriet.

Watching:
Um... my computer screen.. For signs of the zombie apocalypse..  Or the 2nd coming of Christ..   Not sure what you're looking for here.
Eating:
I haven't reached the solid food portion of my day yet.  Working on some damn good coffee though :)

Sometimes I am a dirty DIRTY girl..

1) This song is about a lad who didn't take his mother's advice and attended the wild party anyway (hear it here). When you were young, did your parents approve of your friends? If you're a parent yourself, how have you handled it when your kids start hanging around with friends you're not crazy about?
Mine is 16.  He plays video games.  Online.  With his friends.  All.  The.  Time.
And it made me crazy, and I really gave him a hard time about not going out and socializing - prom, movies, parties, etc.  Until I found out what other kids his age are doing when they socialize.  At the prom, movies, parties, etc.  He can play video games online with his friends ALL the time...  (well, not ALL the time).. I know where he is, what he's doing - and that he's not drinking, smoking pot or pulling pills out of a candy dish mixture.  He's a smart kid with respect to that stuff - knows that if he does any of that, it'll mess up his future - and he's convinced that if he ever gets caught I will appear out of nowhere and start yelling.  It's good to have worked in the courts... :-)
2) A 2010 poll named Marge Simpson of The Simpsons the most popular TV mom of all time. Who is your favorite TV (or movie) mother?
I used to tell my mother that we weren't the Brady Bunch, does that count?  LOL  I always thought that Shirley Partridge was cool.  She was a single (GASP!) mom, and did things here way.  In the day, she was bad ASS.  And I had a single mom living next door, and her name was Shirley - and I always thought she was the coolest mom - so any single mom named Shirley.  That's my answer.
3) Crazy Sam's mother is a big fan of The National Enquirer. As she likes to say, "They were right about John Edwards!" Do you read the tabloids? Cast a guilty glance at them when you're in line at the store? Or ignore them altogether?
Nah... if anything, I look at Cosmo to learn how to snag my man.  LMAO   See how well that's worked out for me?
4) Mother Winters always gave Sam peppermint tea to calm her stomach. Do you have any tried-and-true home remedies to share?
For what, to calm my stomach?  I find a nice poopie usually takes care of that.   Someone used to tell me that was the answer to everything.  Sometimes, I think that she was right!
5) Thinking of guts ... When making decisions, do you tend to consider all the options carefully or do you "go with your gut"?
I usually go with my gut.  Especially when there are red flags a'flyin! Classic example?  The guy I went on a date with who told me he called the Sheriff's dept to see if his son could drive him when he's drunk, with only his permit.  Seriously?  Drink much?  Another one is I cancelled an interview this week that was back in MA (sorry kids).  Would have been a great job, down on the Cape (one of my favorite places in the whole entire world) I could have rented my house here and had a potential roomie there... BUT...  I would have walked away from a good chunk of money in my 401K that's not vested yet, would have had to wipe out a mutual fund to pay for the move, and really pissed off the aforementioned 16 year old who really wants to finish high school here.  I don't think that it would have been worth it in the end.
6) Spring is here! Do you have a green thumb?
No, mine are flesh colored, thank you.  I have a tendency to grow flowers and trees, but vegetables usually die, and my lawn has alopecia.   I need to call Hair Club for men.  Maybe they can help.  LOL
7) Have you put away your winter clothes yet?
NO.  It's 46 degrees out right now. I had to turn the f'ing HEAT ON.  Stupid Crazy Uncle Larry is fucking around with Mother Nature again.  And they are pissing me off.
8) After you lather and rinse, do you repeat?
Nope.  Once usually does it for me.  Unless I'm really really dirty.  Sometimes I am a dirty, DIRTY girl.... 9) To celebrate Mother's Day, Sam is giving away Hershey bars. Would you prefer classic milk chocolate, dark chocolate or milk chocolate with almonds?
Mmmmmmm I always did like boy candy bars best..

Only in my PJ's and fuzzy Yogi Bear Slippers

Today we ripped off a blogger named regular player, Kwizgiver,  from her blog What If This Is As Good As It Gets?   She doesn't say where she got it--but it was probably stolen from somewhere cool.  Tracing back the thefts of those that we steal from could take a while. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!
The Wish List Meme, part two

When my son was born I think.  I was really tired though, so I might have forgotten.
34.) Who would you like to see in concert?

35.) Can you swim well?
I can!  I can do the dead man's float like nobody's business, too.

Is the Pope Catholic?
47.) Do you shop online?
Love it at Christmas time!
48.) Name 3 stores online stores you would like to shop at:
Are you paying?  Because that would make a difference...  Did you know that Tiffany has an online store?  So does Coach.  And Ann Taylor Loft.  I'm all excited now!
49.) What holiday don't you like?
Valentine's Day is dumb.
50.) What do you eat more when you're sick?
Soup and tea.  Unless I'm puking.  Then it's just air.

Hello, Mrs. Weinberg! Is Max home?

1) Do you enjoy amusement park rides?
Enjoy them?  Shit - I LOVE them!  Here's my thing - strap me into one of those things that it comes down as a harness, and you can do just about anything - flip me up, over, down and around - the faster the better.  Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaw!!!
2) In this song, Bruce likens romance to riding through the tunnel of love. The Red Hot Chili Peppers sing about a "Love Rollercoaster." What amusement park ride reminds you of your relationships?
Hahahaha - that's a tie between the House of Horrors and the Wall of Mirrors... LOL
3) Bruce's nickname is The Boss. Who was your best boss? What made him/her a good supervisor?
Um, the only Boss I follow is Bruce.  I did have a boss when I first started working full time, her name was Kathleen and she was from Chicago.  She was awesome, and I really looked up to her.
4) Bruce's father was a bus driver and his mother was a legal secretary. What professions did/do your parents work in?
My father and stepmother own a B&B.  My mother was a bookkeeper/accountant, but she died.  Now her profession is trying to haunt me, I'm convinced.. lol
5) Bruce met his wife Patti at a bar in Asbury Park. Do you believe you can pick up lasting love in a bar?
No, but I do believe you can pick up some lasting other things....
6) Springsteen was unable to work for years because he was embroiled in a lawsuit with his management company. Have you ever been sued, or sued someone else?
Just from car accidents.  I broke my nose.  That was worth about $5K.. Speaking of 5K.. I walked my first one today.  It was a lot of fun!
7) Bruce won an Oscar for writing the title song for the Tom Hanks movie Philadelphia. Do you have a favorite Tom Hanks movie?
WILSON!!!  WILSON!  Wilson, where did you go-oh-oh-oh..... =sob=....  I heart Tom.  He's good in all he does
8) Bruce's official Twitter account (@springsteen) has more than 389,000 followers. Do you tweet? If so, how many people follow you?
I have a Twitter account.  Bruce has admitted he's technology challenged.  So it's his peeps.  It's not him.  I have 53 followers.  Some I know, some I don't.
9) Bruce's drummer, Mighty Max Weinberg, led the band on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. Who do you think is funnier -- Conan or Jay Leno? Or are you looking forward to Jimmy Fallon?
OK - I'm not really going to answer this question because I'm usually in bed by 10.  BUT... My friend Kathy's now ex-husband went to school with Max.  And we may have had one too many drinks one night and called his mother.  "Hello, Mrs. Weinberg, is Max home?"...  I think between the hour and the fact that he'd been living OUT of the house for quite some time may or may not have annoyed her.  LOL

Anything where I get to be filthy rich and Adam Levine is my husband

Today we ripped off a blogger named regular player, Kwizgiver,  from her blog What If This Is As Good As It Gets?   She doesn't say where she got it--but it was probably stolen from somewhere cool.  Tracing back the thefts of those that we steal from could take a while. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!
The Wish List Meme, part one
1.) What are 3 things on your Wish list and why?
Totally about me - none of that world peace shit today #1 - a new camera - I love my Canon EOS SLR, but I want the newer one with more lenses (and all that was ONE thing);  #2 - to lose 20 lbs without having to diet or give up good food, cuz God knows I love food, why does all the food I love have to be weight-gaining (or non-weight loss) food?  Seriously.. ;  and #3 - a job where I use my degree, get to know shit and get paid a lot of money for it.  Yeah.  That's it.
2.) What do you miss about your childhood?
Having to socialize with people face to face - no technology - and the biggest worry was whose house we were going to eat lunch at, because I really hope it's not mine, my mother is kind of mean and yells at me all the time, oh gosh let it be Karen's or DeeDee's..
3.) What do you do on your spare time on the weekends?
Well, I had some spare time this weekend and I uncovered all the Patty O'furniture.  Cleaned the patio off.  Sat in the sun for a bit.  Went to Home Depot and poked around.  Stuff like that.  :)
4.) What do you appreciate most in your life?
The fact that I have a roof over my head, 2 legs to walk with, good friends and family that support me and a kid that cracks me up.
5.) Would you rather be rich or healthy?
Oh now this one is tough.  If I were rich enough, I could pay for the best treatments to get myself healthy.  BUT.. we're all going to die some day and if I were rich I could help out my friends and family before I died - and depending on how un-healthy I was, I'd get to enjoy that money, so yeah - I'll be shallow.  Rich.  But then I'd share.  :)
6.) If you could go back in time would you and why?
I think I'd use the same answer from last week - I'd tell me to get the surgery sooner.  And to save the money from the sale of the house in MA, not use it to live on - buy something sooner, but make sure you have an exit strategy.  ALWAYS make sure you have an exit strategy or a Plan B - no matter how much you think things are as good as they can get!

7.) Favorite game as a child?
Lot's of 'em.  Flashlight tag, when it snowed - sledding down the hill we lived on.  THAT was the best hill ever.  And if there were too many cars?  We'd go to the Reed's hill.  That was fun, too.  :)
8.) What is your dream career?
Investigator.  Seriously.  I would LOVE to get paid to find out STUFF.  You have no idea..  LOL
9.) What do you do in your free time?
stuff.  creep around on Facebook.  LOL  Sleep.  Clean my house - and right now, it's a MESS..  drink coffee.
10.) Favorite clothing stores?
LOFT - love the style and the way the sizes fit.  :)
11.) What TV shows can't you live without?
LOST.  Bring that bitch back.  And change the ending.  I didn't like it.
12.) 3 things you need in your life are:
Food, water and shelter.  Those are the things that I need.  Now if we went to things that I want - that'd be totally different.  See question #1 for that.
13.) What can't you sleep without?
Apparently a good snore.  My son just came and told me that I snore so loud it's crazy.  Hmmph.  I like my bed - it's pretty darn comfortable.  I really can't sleep without a bed.  Or my pillows.
14.) What are you currently a nerd for?
What or who?  Because if it's a who, it's Adam Levine y'all.  Mmm Mmmm MMMM... he is just... WOW.
15.) What is your favorite seasoning?
I go through phases.. Right now it's chipotle seasoning.  I love it in sweet potatoes.  Never tried it?  You should - the mixture of sweet and spicy is nothing short of fabulous.
16.) What is your favorite wild animal?
Whichever one can't catch me and eat me?  Seriously.  I have no favorites.
17.) Name 3 of your favorite childhood shows:
Brady Bunch, Creature Double Feature and Lawrence Welk show - seriously.  I loved it when-a Bobby and-a Cissy would-a dance-a.
18.) If you could live as a character in a movie who would it be?
I'm not sure.  Why  would I live inside a movie?  I wouldn't be able to go outside my living area (because that would be the end of the set) and I'd be over after 2, maybe 3 hours.  But if I could permanently be someone in a movie?  Shoot... I don't know.  Anything where I get to be filthy rich and Adam Levine is my husband.  And I don't have wrinkles or chicken gizzard neck.  LOL
Oh, and because he's been mentioned a few times today?  Here you go.  Oh, hot damn he's yummy..

19.) Favorite vegetable?
Mmmmm Corn on the cob.  From the Sweet Corn Man.  OMG delightful.  Yum.
20.) Favorite Fruit?
hands down pineapple.  But not that canned shit.  Fresh stuff.  I would love to go to Hawaii just to eat the pineapple that you can get there as a local.  mmmmmm
21.) If you had a dragon what would you name it?
That's like naming a baby before you're pregnant!  You can't do that!  I'd have to see it first.  Silly..
22.) What do you put on hotdogs?
Ketchup, mustard, relish, onion.  mmmmmm  But I also love a good Chicago Dog.
23.) Do you play online games?
Bejeweled is my bitch.
24.) What's your favorite way to get inspired?
Take a shower.  Seriously - all my good ideas come while I'm in the shower.  I don't know why!
25.) Do you have a middle name?
Yep.  Do you?

That bitch has a LOT of steps...

Just as an aside - I have to say I really find myself looking forward to these each week.  Sometimes they're great questions that make me think.  A lot.  About life and shit.  And while I might not write a serious answer (sometimes) - it's churning about like buttah in my head... :)  Good morning, enjoy the day - it's 51 here already and I have to tell you it is about damn time spring got here!  :)

1) In the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Ferris climbs up on a parade float and enthusiastically lip synchs this song, encouraging the entire crowd to join in. Do you know the lyrics of "Twist and Shout" well enough to sing along? (Watch the impossibly young Matthew Broderick as Ferris here.)
Ahhhhhh Ferris.  We took a Ferris Bueller day once.  We all called in sick to work/school and went around Boston like tourists.  It was a blast, and we ended it by climbing the Bunker Hill monument.  That bitch has a LOT of steps..  Oh.  But the answer.  Of course.  Doesn't everyone?
2) What other Beatles' song do you know all the words to?
Probably most of them.  I was born in the mid-60's and consider myself a child of the 70's.  Let's be real here.  I know a lot of things.  I'm kind of a big deal.  You didn't know that?
3) 49 years after their American debut, The Beatles are acknowledged as having a lasting impact on both music and culture. What performers on today's music scene do you think will be remembered 50 years from now?
My initial response is Springsteen (duh...).  But that is a given.  Same as the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, etc. (see, 70's LOL)  But today's music?  I think one of the biggest is Justin Timberlake.  He is an all around power house.  He can sing, act - and dammit - he's funny.   I think a lot of the techno stuff isn't going to be remembered as much as the MUSIC.  I don't consider that music - it's made up.  I think music is actually playing instruments - not sitting at a synthesizer.  And I know - JT has some of that.  But dammit, he's good.. (and I know - shocked it's not Adam Levine - I think he'll be remembered, too - but JT moreso)
4) Paul McCartney is an enthusiastic advocate of the vegetarian lifestyle. Could you/have you tried to "go veggie?"
Hells no.  I love me a good cow.  Or a pig.  Same as going no carbs - can't do it.

5) As a young boy, Ringo Starr suffered a severe attack of appendicitis and almost died. Do you still have your appendix? What about your tonsils?
I am intact.  The only think I've lost is my virginity (and really, I could be a born-again).  I even still have my wisdom teeth.  LOL

6) John Lennon sketched and doodled when he was bored or nervous. Do you have any nervous habits?
I fart.  Or poop.  Sometimes both at the same time.

7) George Harrison loved Hawaii so much he bought a 63-acre estate in Maui. Have you ever visited our 50th state?
Nope, but it's on the bucket list.  The boy really wants to go there so he can say he's been to both non-contiguous states.   I'm cool with that.

8) Yoko Ono was a polarizing character in the Beatles' saga. Has any of your friends ever dated/married someone you just could not stand?
BAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA
Hasn't everyone got one of those?

9) Paul has had dogs his entire adult life, including a sheepdog, Martha, and a black lab, Jet. John was especially fond of a cat named Elvis and a tomcat he found in the snow and named Tim. Tell us about one of your pets.
This is my Ninja.  She appeared a couple of years ago - when we were talking about getting a cat. Dogs are not good in my house.  We've tried.  But Ninja? She was lost from her home - and nobody claimed her.  She was declawed in the front and spayed - and damn, we got lucky.  We love her.   She loves the new front door.  :)

But the boobs are fabulous... that's all that matters

Sunday Stealing: The Unlucky 13 Meme
1. On average, how long does it take you to get ready for work/school/a day or night out?
I get up at 6:30 and I'm out of the house before 7:15.  And that includes having some coffee, checking email, all that.  I don't wear makeup.  I don't curl my hair.  Damn.  Maybe that's why I'm single.  Think I should start using eye shadow?

2. If you could ask your favorite author one question about the book(s) they wrote, what would it be?

God.  The Bible.  How much was really true?  How much really happened?  And am I going to get a chance to talk to my Aunt Harriet again, because I have some questions for her!

3. What do you think is the hardest thing about growing up?

Looking at kids you babysat become grandparents.  Getting old.  Jeez, my hip hurt the other day, my elbow's been killing me for a couple of months.  And lets not even go there about the f'ing hot flashes.  BUT... my boobs are now fabulous.  Not sure if you noticed.. LOL
4. Who would you rather switch places with for a day: your favorite celebrity, or your favorite fictional character?

For a day?  I'd switch with someone really stinkin' rich and make gifts of $1M to random people - and my friends, of course.  LOL

5. Who would you rather have point out a flaw that you weren't aware you had: a close personal friend, or a total stranger?

Well, if it's toilet paper hanging out of the back of my pants - that really doesn't matter.  Or a bat in the cave.  Jeez - tell me!  But if it's a character flaw?  Friend.  If it's a stranger it might be just for them - it might not be a permanent thing.  Like if my nose scrunches up when I'm talking to them and makes my face look all squished up.  It might be because they smell like three day old vomit.  Not because it's a flaw.  See what I mean?
 6. Do you get jealous easily? If so, what sorts of qualities or characteristics in other people are you most likely to be jealous of?

Hells no.  I don't like those skinny bitches that complain they're fat.  I want to punch them in the throat.  But then again, my boobs are fabulous.  So I'll get over it.  LOL
7. Which version of yourself would you rather have a conversation with: the one from ten years ago, or the one you turn into ten years from now?

Oh I see a trend....  the one 10 years ago - I'd tell me to get the surgery sooner.  And to save the money from the sale of the house - buy something sooner, but make sure you have an exit strategy.  That was just about the time I moved to Michigan from MA.  Oh, what a conversation I'd have!  Ten years from now?  I don't know what the heck is going to be happening - and I don't want to know the future.  Unless you're going to tell me the Powerball numbers.  Otherwise, that's dumb..
8. Were you ever bullied in any way as a child? If so, how has it shaped you today?

You know, my mother was kind of a bully.  She thought insulting us rather than loving guidance was the way to go.  It's shaped me into a better parent, that's for damn sure.  But it never mattered how thin I ever got - I always looked at myself in the mirror and could hear her saying "you're as big as the side of a barn".. and then she'd hand me a donut.  Dysfunctional much?
9. What is one fear you would like to overcome in your lifetime?

Speaking in public.  LOL
10. What is one food you haven't tried yet that you would like to?

Haggis.  But it would have to be in Scotland.  Which really means I'd try a bite and spit it out, but I'd get a trip to Scotland out of it.  See the way my mind works?
11. Is it easier to forgive someone for the wrong they've done you or to seek forgiveness from someone that you've wronged in any way?

Ohhhhhhh forgiveness.... Did you read this post here? I have a tough time with it.  But when I'm wrong, I say so - and I will seek it.  So I guess I seek it easier than I give it..

 12. Let’s go random: What did you do for New Year’s Eve for the turn of the millennium? Probably stayed in.  I'm boring on NYE.  It's the most amateur of amateur nights.

13. What else around here have you noticed?

Um... there's a pretty kitty at the top of this meme?  But hey - my boobs are FABulous!!!
