The one with no cobwebs or spitting!

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Unfamiliar with this week's song? Hear it here.
1) This song refers to the merengue and the cha-cha. Are you a good dancer?
I can chair dance with the best of them!  LOL

2) Dances like the merengue and cha-cha are featured on Dancing with the Stars. Are you a loyal DWTS viewer?
I can chair dance... oh, wait.  No - I don't watch it.  I've tried a couple of times and just can't get into it.
3) The Copa girl in the song, Lola, wears yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there. If we were going to the clubs tonight, what would you wear?
Jeans.  T-shirt.  Something comfortable.  I'm past the whole "dressing up to go out" stage.  I'm over 40.  I don't give a shit.  LOL   I actually posted something this week that was incorrectly attributed to Andy Rooney - I don't really care who wrote it, I still love it.  You can read about it here:  http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/olderwomen.asp

4) The real Copacabana nightclub was on East 60th Street in New York. It was used as a setting for the movie Goodfellas. Do you have a favorite mobster movie?
Married to the Mob?  My Uncle Vinny?  LOL  Hands down - the Godfather series..

5) Our featured artist, Barry Manilow, has unfortunately spent a great deal of this young century in the hospital -- broken nose, face lift, chest pains and two hip surgeries. Tell us about your most recent trip to the doctor, ER, or dentist.
I won't tell you where, but you can imagine... There was a large wand inserted and it sort of looked around.  Didn't spit.  And great news - NO cobwebs!!

6) Manilow told US Magazine that he enjoys nude sunbathing. Have you ever skinny dipped or sunbathed au naturel?
Oh - in answer to someone's question before, you can tell that it's a bears because of what it contains - believe it or not.  The vegetation is a clue.
7) Before he became famous as a performer, Manilow was a very successful jingle writer. "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there …" and "You deserve a break today at McDonald's …" were his. Tell us about a TV commercial you saw recently.
I saw a new (to me) ETrade one with the kid, and there is a cat there as his sidekick.  Hysterical.

8) The Manilow faithful are known as Fanilows and proudly wear Barry hoodies, wristwatches and even dog tags. Do you have any clothes that feature a recording artist?
I have many different Springsteen shirts, from many different concerts.  I have a couple of DMB shirts from different shows, Van Morrison from Dublin (that one I never wear, but there was no questioning the need to buy it LOL), prolly a lot more.  Oh, and here's a yummy Bruce picture for you :)

9) In 2005, Manilow refused to respond when Larry King inquired about his sexuality. Do you think it's rude for interviewers to ask personal questions? Or is it something a performer should expect because it goes with the job?
Personally, I think if you are a celebrity - you have chosen to put yourself out there - but sometimes people get a little bit too intimate with their questions.  I don't care what goes on in Barry's bedroom, do you?  Ew.

Happy Saturday!  I'm having company this weekend, my cousin that is more like a little sister is coming up for the weekend, and Monday we're going to attend this fabulous party for the release of the summer brew by local brewer, Bell's Brewery.  Their summer brew is Oberon, and you can always tell when it's spring, because Oberon is released.  :)  They put on a big party all day - and we are going to partake!  Don't judge me because I took a day off for a beer.  Really.  It's not just any beer.  It's Oberon.  It's delightful.  It's delovely.  Groove is in the heart...

Hope all is well with everyone in the interwebbies.  I'm grateful for another day to try and get it right :)
