2) Businessweek named Seattle one of the best places to live, citing its clean air, low crime and high employment. What makes your current hometown a great place to live?

It's a small town, where everybody knows your name.  I live in a development that used to be a corn field.  There are corn fields all around us, and I get to watch beautiful sunsets every night.  I don't have any rush hour traffic, my commute is 20 min, and that's with red lights.  Is that enough?

3) In this song, Bobby brags about how green Seattle is. Is it still green where you are? Or are the trees beginning to show their fall colors?
It's still green - I'm looking at my grass right now!

4) This song was the theme of a 1968-1970 show called Here Come the Brides. Do you know the words to any other TV theme?

5) Bobby Sherman was once America's #1 teen idol, selling millions of records and earning 5 Gold Albums. Girls who wrote to his fan club received a postcard back signed, "Peace, Love & Bobby Sherman." Have you ever belonged to a fan club?

Maybe.  Don't you judge me.  And I was NOT stalking.  Just looking in the windows.

It was one of four that Post printed on different cereals back in 1970 so that Bobby-loving little girls would have to go through lots of different cereals to collect the whole set. What's your favorite breakfast cereal?

A mix of Honey Nut Cheerios and Wheaties.  Yum.  Or, if there aren't any wheaties around, the HN Cheerios with a banana sliced up.  Oh double yum.

8) Crazy Sam can't decide if she wants berries or banana slices with her cereal. Which would be your choice?

Fall/Autumn Meme 

 First of all, is autumn your favorite season? Why or why not? One of them.  I really like days in the 70's and cool nights.  Best sleeping.  Great amount of sun.  The days are just perfect.

What kind of weather does your area get during this season? 

Sunny days in the 70's, and then into the 40's at night.

Why yes, yes I was!

Do you pay attention to any ‘fall fashions’?
I know not to wear white after Labor Day.  Unless it's winter white.  Try explaining that one to someone that doesn't get it.

Absolutely!

Not really.  It's messy.  I'd just as soon color a face on them.

FALL COLORS.   I'm getting annoyed with all these color, touchy-feely type questions..

We do Halloween in my driveway.  Ours is a fairly new neighborhood, so there are tons of kids that come here for trick or treating.  We set up the fire pit in the driveway, and a bunch of neighbors turn out their lights and come over.  It's like one stop shopping.  The kids get candy from all the adults, and there is hot apple cider with the option to add some tasty adult beverages to it. 

Do you spend a lot of time outside during this time of the year? 

As much as I can.

Most daring Dare you have ever done?
    I jumped off the JAWS bridge in Martha's Vineyard.  That was scarier than shit.  Not that high - but shit, I was scared.  But kids were watching me, everyone else did it - and it didn't help that the whole beach was yelling "you can do it Kathy"!!..  It was fun.  I did it.  Now I don't ever have to do it again.  Unless I want to.  LOL

     hmmmm  Depends on what you consider "wrong"... Wrong as in - "oh man that was wrong" or "Holy shit, you shouldn't have done that"...

     Nothing yet.  I slept in, loved waking up and having it in the 50's and have nothing on the agenda for the day.  My kind of day!

     LOL That's funny.  Read 2 above.  Yeah, there's a couple that I will never forget.  One I actually got back in touch with, and he defriended me on Facebook after a while.  Oh well - we weren't meant to be.  Another reminded me why we never would have worked.  Another blocked me on Facebook when he realized I was friends with his daughter and I made a comment about how life was good for him and I wished him the best.  Is there a trend here?  Whatever.  I'm sure there's a reason why I'm single.

     I'm sure.  But really, who knows..  I don't think about it that deeply..

Saturday 9: Band on the Run

1) This song is about a band of musicians that escapes on an adventure. Do you consider yourself spontaneous and adventurous?

Absolutely!  That's what I was thinking while skinny dipping in the pool last night.  I thought to myself, "self... you are so spontaneous and adventurous that if I didn't know you, I'd want to"!!

2) Paul McCartney and Wings traveled all the way to Lagos, Nigeria, to record Band on the Run. That's a long, long way from London. What's the farthest from home you've ever been? 

I've been to Greece.  Ireland.  London.  Alaska.  All places that are far far away.  But not so far away that there are ogres, like Shrek.  Just sayin'..

3) Wings featured Linda McCartney on keyboards. Paul said that when Linda died, after almost 30 years together, he lost the love of his life. Who is the love of your life? Or have you yet to meet him/her?

Hmmmm I'm not sure.  I thought for a long time that it was my son's father, but now realize that was one of those unanswered prayers that was actually answered.  She wins his drunk, bigoted fat ass.  Blech.  So I'm on the lookout.  But really, he'd better show up soon.  I'm thinking of turning asexual. 

4) Paul has said he's very proud of Band on the Run, his most successful post-Beatles album. Brag a little. Tell us something you're proud of.

The 16 almost 17 year old young man that is still sleeping upstairs.  He is my greatest achievement.  And while he may want to be a cop like his father, he is nothing - NOTHING - like his father.  Thank God for that.  :) 

5) Paul's birth certificate reads "James Paul McCartney." He's named for his father, Jim. Are you named after anyone?

My name was originally going to be Maureen.  But then I guess my mother found out my father had a girlfriend named Maureen at one time?  I think?  I don't know.  All I know is that Kathleen is all mine, Mary was my mother.  And when you heard them together?  You knew shit was going down. 

6) Paul enjoys oil painting in his spare time. What's one of your hobbies?

Llama and Alpaca fighting.  I have a ring set up outside, take bets, you know..  Oh.  Wait.  I lied.  I love taking photos... here is one from my trip to the upper peninsula.  Or the U.P. as we call it..

7) 20 Forthlin Road, Paul McCartney's boyhood home, has been turned into a museum by the British government. It's a modest 2 bedroom cottage, with a drainpipe that Paul used to climb to sneak in after curfew. How would you describe your childhood home?

It was a 4 bedroom colonial with a sunroom.  It's now a 3 bedroom colonial with a sunroom.  Apparently the peeps that bought it turned the master into a suite. 

8) Paul is 5'11". How tall are you?

Tall enough to reach the middle shelf of my cabinets without having to either climb on the countertop or get a step stool.  LOL

9) Actor Christopher Lee is on the album cover. He played Dracula in a series of movies in the 1950s and 1960s. Who is your favorite vampire?

Oh, we don't cotton to that vampire shit here.  My house is zombies.  The Walking Dead.  If you haven't seen it yet, you have a few weeks to catch up before Season IV starts.  It's the best show since LOST.  Seriously.  I for sure wouldn't steer your wrong here..
