F the F'ers and the F'ing Christmas Decorations up in F'ing August

Saturday 9: Seattle

Unfamiliar with this week's song? Hear it here.

1) Let's get the obvious out of the way: Have you ever been to Seattle?
Yep :)

2) Businessweek named Seattle one of the best places to live, citing its clean air, low crime and high employment. What makes your current hometown a great place to live?
It's a small town, where everybody knows your name.  I live in a development that used to be a corn field.  There are corn fields all around us, and I get to watch beautiful sunsets every night.  I don't have any rush hour traffic, my commute is 20 min, and that's with red lights.  Is that enough?

3) In this song, Bobby brags about how green Seattle is. Is it still green where you are? Or are the trees beginning to show their fall colors?
It's still green - I'm looking at my grass right now!

4) This song was the theme of a 1968-1970 show called Here Come the Brides. Do you know the words to any other TV theme?
Here's a story, of a lovely lady... who was bringing up three very lovely girls.... (see if you can get that out of your head now LOL)

5) Bobby Sherman was once America's #1 teen idol, selling millions of records and earning 5 Gold Albums. Girls who wrote to his fan club received a postcard back signed, "Peace, Love & Bobby Sherman." Have you ever belonged to a fan club?
Maybe.  Don't you judge me.  And I was NOT stalking.  Just looking in the windows.

6) Alas, the career of a teen idol can be short, and by fall 1970, Bobby was replaced on magazine covers by David Cassidy. Sherman went on to a second career with the LAPD, instructing officers in CPR and first aid. Do you know how to perform CPR? The Heimlich Maneuver?
Yes indeed!  Although my certification expired a zillion years ago.  I'm sure I could do it if needed..

7) The "disc" you see shown is actually made of cardboard and was printed on the back of a Post Alpha-Bits cereal box. It was one of four that Post printed on different cereals back in 1970 so that Bobby-loving little girls would have to go through lots of different cereals to collect the whole set. What's your favorite breakfast cereal?
A mix of Honey Nut Cheerios and Wheaties.  Yum.  Or, if there aren't any wheaties around, the HN Cheerios with a banana sliced up.  Oh double yum.

8) Crazy Sam can't decide if she wants berries or banana slices with her cereal. Which would be your choice?

9) Do you ever eat cereal straight out of the box? Drink milk directly from the carton?
Meh.. sometimes
 And now... Sunday's...

Fall/Autumn Meme

First of all, is autumn your favorite season? Why or why not? One of them.  I really like days in the 70's and cool nights.  Best sleeping.  Great amount of sun.  The days are just perfect.

Is it ‘autumn’ or ‘fall’, to you?
Um, duh.  It's fall.

What kind of weather does your area get during this season?
Sunny days in the 70's, and then into the 40's at night.

Were you born in an autumn month?
Why yes, yes I was!

Do you pay attention to any ‘fall fashions’?
I know not to wear white after Labor Day.  Unless it's winter white.  Try explaining that one to someone that doesn't get it.

Which leaf color is your favorite?
Seriously?  Um, red.  Yeah..

Is it still fun to rake the leaves and jump in piles of them?

When can you really tell that it’s autumn?
Ahhhhhhh, when it's not longer summer?

Do you enjoy carving pumpkins?
Not really.  It's messy.  I'd just as soon color a face on them.

Do you eat the pumpkin seeds? If so, do you put any kind of flavoring on it?

Are you planning to go to a pumpkin patch this year?
I did!  I did!

Which was your favorite Halloween costume to wear?
I won first prize - best costume ever!  I was an outhouse.  :)

Are you planning to go trick-or-treating? Why or why not?
Ahhh, because I'm not a kid?

Are there any county fairs or festivals held nearby during this time?

What is your favorite dessert for this time of year?
Pumpkin anything

Is your Thanksgiving Day in October or November, if you even celebrate it?
last Thursday in November!

If you do celebrate it, where do you usually have Thanksgiving dinner?
ahhhhhhhhh, it varies?

Do you remember any crafts you used to do that were autumn-themed?
Yeah, I remember tracing my hand and making a turkey out of it.

Are any of your favorite bands doing a fall tour this year?
No clue.

Which new TV show are you looking forward to this season? Hostages looks interesting.  But The Walking Dead is new to me, so I'm really really looking forward to that..

How does autumn typically make you feel?
What is this, sit around and talk about our feelings day?

What color do you always associate with autumn?
FALL COLORS.   I'm getting annoyed with all these color, touchy-feely type questions..

Is there a song that always reminds you of this season? No.  Should there be?

Do you have any seasonal traditions?
We do Halloween in my driveway.  Ours is a fairly new neighborhood, so there are tons of kids that come here for trick or treating.  We set up the fire pit in the driveway, and a bunch of neighbors turn out their lights and come over.  It's like one stop shopping.  The kids get candy from all the adults, and there is hot apple cider with the option to add some tasty adult beverages to it.

Do you spend a lot of time outside during this time of the year?
As much as I can.

How can you tell that fall is over?
Oh. Um.  When the snow starts to fall?

What is a typical autumn outfit that you wear?
What are you, stalking me?

Describe a perfect autumn day:
Cool.  Sunny.  No work.

Do you hate it when stores start promoting Christmas early?
Fuck the fuckers and their fucking decorations LOL

What is your favorite thing about this season?
It's not Christmas season...

Straighter than a Westboro Baptist church member...

Taken from [[MORE]]: part three
click HERE!to play along!
Most daring Dare you have ever done?
I jumped off the JAWS bridge in Martha's Vineyard.  That was scarier than shit.  Not that high - but shit, I was scared.  But kids were watching me, everyone else did it - and it didn't help that the whole beach was yelling "you can do it Kathy"!!..  It was fun.  I did it.  Now I don't ever have to do it again.  Unless I want to.  LOL
When is the last time you did something you knew was wrong?
hmmmm  Depends on what you consider "wrong"... Wrong as in - "oh man that was wrong" or "Holy shit, you shouldn't have done that"...

What was on your mind most today?
Nothing yet.  I slept in, loved waking up and having it in the 50's and have nothing on the agenda for the day.  My kind of day!
Have a best friend?
Doesn't everyone have at least one?  Come on now..
If you were upset, who’ s the first person you would go to?
Prolly Kim.  She's my biffle.  And when I do shit that's wrong - she calls me out on it.  LOL
When was the last time someone yelled at you?
Yelled as in "you go girl" or "holy shit you shouldn't have done that" yelled...  You are a wee bit vague in your questions.
What have you done today, so far?
     Coffee. 'Nuff said.
What did last weekend consist of?
Went out Friday night - had a blast, cleaned, hung out, you know - stuff.
What are you listening to?
Scooby Doo - you know, we'd have gotten away with it, if not for those meddlin' kids!
Who were you last in a car with?
Courtney.  And it wasn't a car.  It was da Jeep.
Have you ever been called cute?
     Of course I have.  Jeez.
Describe how you feel right now in one word:
Has anybody ever told you that you talk too fast?
Talk too much - yes.  Too fast?  Not so much..

Did you have fun yesterday?
Of course I did.  I have fun every day.

Do you like to cuddle?

Um, sure?  For a hot second.  Then get off me, I can't watch TV while you're humping my leg.
Do you think someone is thinking about you?
Hmm...  Prolly not.  I'm not one of those "I think about you all the time" peeps.  I always used to wonder if I was "the one that got away" to anyone, or the one that "I always wanted to ask you out but...."..  But considering nobody has ever said that, I doubt it.  I'm just me.

Are you stubborn?
Oh now, you just piss off.  I am not.
Is there a friend, boyfriend/ girlfriend, or ex that you will never forget?
LOL That's funny.  Read 2 above.  Yeah, there's a couple that I will never forget.  One I actually got back in touch with, and he defriended me on Facebook after a while.  Oh well - we weren't meant to be.  Another reminded me why we never would have worked.  Another blocked me on Facebook when he realized I was friends with his daughter and I made a comment about how life was good for him and I wished him the best.  Is there a trend here?  Whatever.  I'm sure there's a reason why I'm single.

Thinking back, are there people you have no idea why you hung out with?
I'm sure.  But really, who knows..  I don't think about it that deeply..
How’s your heart?
Apparently as black as Blackbeard's beard.  Again - see 2 above.  I like me.  I think I'm a nice person.  I don't know what the hell their problem is.
Are you easily amused?
LOL You should see my EHarmony profile.  That's amusing.
Do you speak more than 2 languages?
I can swear in about 4-5.
Are you doing anything tonight?
Prolly not.  I'm boring like that.
Is there a person of the same sex who means a lot to you?    Like as in a gay way?  No.  Like as in a biffle kind of way?  Of course.  There are a few!
Is your hair naturally straight?
Straighter than a Westboro Baptist church member...  (LOL  See I do amuse myself)
What happened at 10:00 am?
Ahhhhh, I got more coffee?  What?  Was something supposed to happen at 10?
What were you doing at ten last night?
Watching stupid TV
Have you made someone happy today?
Well, the boy is happy because I brought him donuts from the event I did yesterday.  And it's before noon.  The day's not over yet!

Is it hard for you to get over someone?
Hmm..  Not when they're assholes - that makes it easy.  Or a third party's fault.  Again - easy.
Think it’s disgusting when girls get really wasted?
Don't you judge me.  It's not like I puked or anything.  Oh.  Wait.  Whoops..

How long did it take you to get over you last ex?
HAHAHAHA... not that it was funny.  But that's funny.  He made it easy because of how he treated my son.  There was only one that was hard to get over.
When you are home alone do you still close the door when you shower?
Heck I don't close it when I pee half the time.  I leave it open a little - so the steam can escape..

Here's a hint - NEVER give the drunk girl the phone..

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's post. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme's best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme.  Let's go!!!

**OK - I'm playing catch up because I was away last week..  I hate doing part II if I haven't done part I.  Arrgh!

Have you ever said you would never love again?
I don't think so.  Why would I say that?  That's silly.  I will always love again.  What are we, Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall?  "We'll always have Paris?"  Silly peeps..

Have you heard a song today that reminds you of somebody?
The only thing I've heard today is my friend Coleen's voice, the computer keys tapping and my cat cleaning herself.  One is fun, the other is ok and one is just gross.  You pick.  LOL

Do you apologize first?
If I'm wrong - I apologize.  There's no race to be the line leader in apologizing.
Has someone made a promise to you and broke it?
     BAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA  That's comedy right there...

Have you ever won a lot of money in a slot machine? How much?
A couple hundred I think - Hot Hot Super Jackpot!
Do you watch sport on TV even though you aren’t a sporty person yourself?
Did you just call me fat?  I can play some sports.
Do you eat / drink at your computer?
What, are you watching me?  Stalker.  That's not right..
How much do you overeat at special occasions? (Birthdays, Christmas, etc)
HEY!  Stop it.  Don't you judge me.  You don't know me.  You don't know my life.

Do you require glasses / contacts to see properly? If so, which do you use?
Well, I wouldn't wear my glasses and contacts at the same time, if that's what you're implying.  I have both.  I wear the glasses more.  The left eye gets a little weepy sometimes.

When you hear your voice back on a recording, do you think it sounds awful?
Yes - I can't stand the sound of my own voice.  LOL

When was the last time you got the hiccups?
The last time I ate something too fast.  Probably trying to hide it from my friends and family because you keep implying that I binge-eat.

If you had to, which record would you go into Guinness World Records for?
Being able to find shit out.  Especially shit that people don't want me to find out.  LOL

The last sweet thing you ate: What was it?
Really?  Food again?  What is this?  Let's see how much Kathy will 'fess up to?  I don't remember and that's the damn truth.  Now stop!

Do you have a middle name?
Yes, it's "Little Ass Kicker"...  Tell me what that's from and you get extra points :)

Do you find it embarrassing?
Not at all.  And if you try and make fun of me for it?  I'll kick your ass.  See?

What would you choose to be famous for?

If you have a webcam, are you ever paranoid people can see you?
         See previous answer

Do you find it difficult to sleep at night? Any reason(s) why?
Nope.  I can look at myself in the mirror every day and be at peace with who I am there, too.  I know quite a few people that I bed would have a hard time answering that question the same..

If you had to go on a game show, which would you choose?
The Match Game.   They got to smoke and drink and talk about sex.  LOL

What about if you had to go on a reality show?
Survivor.  I need to loose a few pounds.

Which would you choose then?
Ahhh for what?  A little clarification would be nice..

Tell me about your favorite TV show:
For five seasons, it was LOST.  I was that show's bitch.  Like if you called me, and it wasn't a commercial?  I'd kick your ass.

Why were you last irritated?
           When you called me fat.

What time did you get up this morning?
           About 9:30

The last city you were in: Where was it and do you like it there?
Big city?  Little city?  Let's just go with big.  I went to a wedding in NY and had to drive through NYC.  Love it there.  Hate the Yankees.

Do you like the countryside?
Considering I live in what used to be a cornfield, I would say yes.

If you see someone yawn, do you often yawn as well?
             It's been tested.

Recommend me a good movie:
              Debbie does Dallas?

Do you think you’d make a good model?

Would you ever want to be one?

How often do you change your hairstyle?
I go shorter in the summer and longer in the winter.

What does it look like now?
A big old mess.  I need a shower.

Do you have a favorite day of the week? Which is it?

Are you alone?
Stalker freak.  I'm not answering that.

When is the last time you were on the phone after 2 am?
Jesus, when I was in my 20's?  LOL  Here's a hint - NEVER give the drunk girl the phone..

All I know is that Kathleen is all mine, Mary was my mother. And when you heard them together? You knew shit was going down.

1) This song is about a band of musicians that escapes on an adventure. Do you consider yourself spontaneous and adventurous?
Absolutely!  That's what I was thinking while skinny dipping in the pool last night.  I thought to myself, "self... you are so spontaneous and adventurous that if I didn't know you, I'd want to"!!

2) Paul McCartney and Wings traveled all the way to Lagos, Nigeria, to record Band on the Run. That's a long, long way from London. What's the farthest from home you've ever been?
I've been to Greece.  Ireland.  London.  Alaska.  All places that are far far away.  But not so far away that there are ogres, like Shrek.  Just sayin'..

3) Wings featured Linda McCartney on keyboards. Paul said that when Linda died, after almost 30 years together, he lost the love of his life. Who is the love of your life? Or have you yet to meet him/her?
Hmmmm I'm not sure.  I thought for a long time that it was my son's father, but now realize that was one of those unanswered prayers that was actually answered.  She wins his drunk, bigoted fat ass.  Blech.  So I'm on the lookout.  But really, he'd better show up soon.  I'm thinking of turning asexual.

4) Paul has said he's very proud of Band on the Run, his most successful post-Beatles album. Brag a little. Tell us something you're proud of.
The 16 almost 17 year old young man that is still sleeping upstairs.  He is my greatest achievement.  And while he may want to be a cop like his father, he is nothing - NOTHING - like his father.  Thank God for that.  :)

5) Paul's birth certificate reads "James Paul McCartney." He's named for his father, Jim. Are you named after anyone?
My name was originally going to be Maureen.  But then I guess my mother found out my father had a girlfriend named Maureen at one time?  I think?  I don't know.  All I know is that Kathleen is all mine, Mary was my mother.  And when you heard them together?  You knew shit was going down.

6) Paul enjoys oil painting in his spare time. What's one of your hobbies?
Llama and Alpaca fighting.  I have a ring set up outside, take bets, you know..  Oh.  Wait.  I lied.  I love taking photos... here is one from my trip to the upper peninsula.  Or the U.P. as we call it..

7) 20 Forthlin Road, Paul McCartney's boyhood home, has been turned into a museum by the British government. It's a modest 2 bedroom cottage, with a drainpipe that Paul used to climb to sneak in after curfew. How would you describe your childhood home?
It was a 4 bedroom colonial with a sunroom.  It's now a 3 bedroom colonial with a sunroom.  Apparently the peeps that bought it turned the master into a suite.

8) Paul is 5'11". How tall are you?
Tall enough to reach the middle shelf of my cabinets without having to either climb on the countertop or get a step stool.  LOL

9) Actor Christopher Lee is on the album cover. He played Dracula in a series of movies in the 1950s and 1960s. Who is your favorite vampire?
Oh, we don't cotton to that vampire shit here.  My house is zombies.  The Walking Dead.  If you haven't seen it yet, you have a few weeks to catch up before Season IV starts.  It's the best show since LOST.  Seriously.  I for sure wouldn't steer your wrong here..
