Isn't that an Al Franken book?

The New Year's Eve Meme

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's post. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme's best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme.

Let's go!!!

The New Year's Eve Meme

From the archives!

In 2014, I gained:  New friends (always good!), some insight, a little more peace in my life.

I lost: 31 lbs., some of the ties that bind, some money to the Indians.  Darn that inner me saying to pay them back for stealing their country.  LOL.

I stopped: eating crap (for the most part), trying to reconcile why some people are the way they are (working on that one), worrying so much about speaking my mind - sometimes, shit just needs to be said dammit.

I started: Using the courtesy flush method at work, I have to tell you - this diet thing keeps you regular!  LMAO

I was hugely satisfied by: The amount of food that I'm "allowed" to eat and still lose weight.

And frustrated by: OH so much.  Lies and the liars that tell them.  Secrets and the ones that keep them.   Same old story.

I am so embarrassed that I:  Come from a family that would treat people the way that they have.

Once again, I: have made it All about me!  LOL

Once again, I did not: Decorate for Christmas.

The biggest physical difference between me last December and this December is: Here.  Let me show you.

It might be more than a year, but ugh.  That picture on the bottom.  Ugh.  And I'm not crazy about the "after" picture either, but I think it shows how far I've come.  Oh, yeah, and now the Boy is taller than me. LOL

The biggest psychological difference between me last December and this December is:  I've seen the movie "Frozen".  I know.  I need to learn to Let it Go... I'm really, REALLY working on that.

I loved spending time: with the ones that I love, and want to spend time with

Why did I spend even two minutes:  Thinking about that cheesecake.  Skinny looks so much better than that would taste.  LOL

I should have spent more time:  I'm actually happy with my year.  I've made a point of having more me time, not worrying so much about the Boy and what he's doing.  A kid turning 18 I guess will do that to you.  :)

I regret buying:  Those jeans on Ebay.  She said they were one size, but they're actually one down from that.  Oh well - another goal!

I will never regret buying... even though with that money I could have ... hmmmm.. I don't know.  I may have to come back to this one.

I  often think about things way too much.

I didn’t exercise enough.

There are a lot of things that  ... drove me crazy.

The most relaxing place I went was the Cape for a week.  That is my "happy place"..

Why did I go to that gutter with my mind so much?

The best thing I did for someone else was - the best thing about doing thins for other is NOT getting recognition for it.  So I will keep this to my self.

The best thing I did for myself signing up for Weight Watchers

The best thing someone did for me suggesting that we do WW together.

The one thing I’d like to do again, but do it better, there are times that I wish I could have a mulligan on a lot of things, but really - all things happen for a reason, and I can't take that away.

I did not decorate for Christmas, either, and I truly didn't miss it.

Congratulations on the weight loss.

I cannot stand liars and I cannot stand being lied to; even more so when it is my family. :(

Congrats on the weight loss, and on making WW work for you. I have signed up and dropped it and signed back up several times. It will work if you do it but I am currently in a not-doing-it phase and don't even know why I am still signed up. Maybe my motivation will return with warmer weather.

Congratulations on losing a lot of weight! WW is a great Org. You will feel better and better as your body adjusts to the new you. And so many new insights on the interpersonal ssstuff, too. Good on ya!, as the Aussie's say.

Have a wonderful new year!

Wow, look at you! Great job losing weight. Cutting the crappy, processed foods is something I know I need to do, but I'm usually beat at the end of the work day and want making dinner to be quick and easy. I know it's possible to have it both ways, but I haven't done it yet. :/
